For those who are waiting *Tick*Tock*Tick*Tock*
Posted on 03/01/2012

Here's a quick update for those who have been waiting ever so patiently...
If you haven't already, make sure to
us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for the latest updates. We'll be using these channels more often in the future to keep you all up to date.

Also, if you'd like down-to-the-second notification as soon as any items come in stock (especially useful for items that sell out fast such as the tokidoki bags), be sure to go to the item's web page then click on the "EMAIL ME WHEN IN STOCK" button.

Hope everyone is having a HAPPY day! :-)
Lots of new stuff!

Tokidoki Ramblers Large Duffel and Bowling Bags
Just to give a heads-up... If you're on the fence about getting a tokidoki Ramblers Large Duffel or Bowling Bag, we only have one left of each and we're not able to get more until this fall!

If you're interested in the other Ramblers bags and wallets, here's some good news: we're going to get new stock sometime in March. They go super fast, so if you're interested in something that's currently out of stock, go to the product's page and click on the "EMAIL ME WHEN IN STOCK" button. This way you'll be notified as soon as we get stock in. Otherwise there's a good chance someone else might grab the bag you were waiting and hoping for.

Furry Green Monster in L.A.

Happy Hoodie Friends Green Gobbler
It's after dark in L.A. and there's a green monster roaming around... Is this a scene from Battle: Los Angeles? How about Godzilla or Monsters Inc? Nope, it's Happy Six founder Sophie Snow being silly with a Happy Hoodie Friends Green Gobbler monster hoodie. We think we need to lock her up.

Happy Valentine's Day! From everyone at Happy Six, monsters included. ;-)

New tokidoki Women's Tops
Posted on 02/08/2012

Just in time for Valentine's Day, the new women's tokidoki collection has arrived!

This Spring collection is full of super kawaii cuteness! Like a hot pink top with a smiling cupcake and sparkly beads.

And how about our favorite "til death do us part" couple - Adios and Ciao Ciao - framed in a black ribbon heart with his and hers diamond rings? This shirt is selling straight out of the box before we can even unpack it!

And for lovers of Simone Legno's Japanese-inspired art, there's the "Sakura" tshirt printed with one of his trademark Asian beauties and Japanese cherry blossoms.

Tokidoki Ramblers bags
How many tokidoki bags do you have? Lost count several seasons ago? Well, it's time to add another notch to your bedpost because the new Ramblers bags by tokidoki are sure to bring a squeal to you Simone Legno fans.

This fun, rambling traveler's print is filled with some of the most popular tokidoki characters - Donutella, Adios, Ciao Ciao, Sandy, and so many others you can spot peeking out behind travel motifs.

From small zip wallets to shoulder bags and even a large duffel, this collection offers so many excuses for you to add another notch - and squeal - for Simone.

What good is a hero without the villain?
Posted on 01/28/2012
So the storyline isn't as exciting as Transformers: Dark of the Moon, but somehow in the fog of war we missed adding Megatron to our online Mimobot collection.

Without his lethal nemesis, we're not sure what Optimus Prime would do for a living... Maybe transport vegetables to grocery stores like most normally adjusted career-minded 18-wheelers do?

Now that Megatron has resurfaced, the universe is in balance again and we can go back to expanding our online catalog.

On a side note, ever notice how the Decepticons are always badass military weapons while the Autobots are wimpy little cars? Despite this, the Autobots always win. How does this make any sense?

And no, changing Bumblebee from a VW Bug to a Camaro doesn't explain anything!

Book Release Party at Happy Six
Posted on 01/23/2012
Everybody mark your calenders - on Saturday February 11th, from 7PM to 10PM, the Treehouse Bandits will be visiting Happy Six in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of their new book, "The Adventures of Super Bunny and Giant Cat Bear and Charlie." Created by Patrick Ballesteros and Kevin Staniec, this book is a visual and literary treat. (We've had a sneak peek!) From their own words:

Treehouse Bandits Book Release Signing  "The Treehouse Bandits are a gang of explorers and pioneers. These creative outlaws of the playground live for action and adventure. Their stories teach us about self-confidence, strength of character, friendship, and the importance of imagination.

For kids and the kids at heart. Never give up on your dreams."
P.S. Some of you may recognize Patrick's illustration style from our collection of Patrick's other works that have taken over a section of our store and keeps growing!

Dr. Seuss is Timeless
Posted on 01/05/2012
There are some things that are so classic, so timeless, that they never get old or dated. Off the top of our heads: Mickey Mouse, Curious George, and of course Dr. Seuss. There's something comforting about these characters, as if they're childhood friends we have fond memories of. Even as we grow older and the months turn into years, and years turn into decades, the stories of The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham are never left behind. In this day of technology everywhere, Facebook posts, 3D movies, and iPads, it's nice to know that there's still something so timeless we can pass on to the next generation as cultural heirlooms.
